On this episode of Skytalkers: This Galactic Life, Charlotte and Caitlin spend their three-part discussion getting deep into the Original Trilogy, the Prequel Trilogy, then the Sequel Trilogy. Join us as we talk about what sets each trilogy apart, their strengths, weaknesses, our favorite aspects, and what we hope to see in the future of Star Wars. We talk Padmé, Kylo Ren and Rey potentially switching places, politics in Star Wars, visual keys in the films, and much, much more.

We’d love to hear your feedback–follow us on @skytalkerspod; Charlotte @crerrity and Caitlin @caitlinplesher; and on our website, skytalkers.com.

Joining the Assembly of Geeks Podcast Network!

In case you missed it over on Twitter, we are so excited about to recent decision to join the Assembly of Geeks Podcast Network!

aog-logow-o-aog

So what does this mean? It means more shows, guests, and Star Wars-based content for the Skytalkers podcast.

We’ve worked hard to restructure our podcast to an easier-to-listen format, by divided our discussion-based podcasts into three distinct sections for each episode. We were inspired by the wildly popular This American Life program and have followed their model going forward with our podcast. Each episode will be a comprehensive, three-part discussion about Star Wars films, stories, canon, and characters. We’re excited to discuss what it means to live This Galactic Life–hence the name change to Skytalkers: This Galactic Life.

The best part is that Skytalkers: This Galactic Life will be uploading a new show every other Saturday! Look out for our next show on March 4th, where we will be discussing each Star Wars trilogy!

May the Force be with you!

Skytalkers: Theories & What’s to Come for The Last Jedi

Caitlin and Charlotte break down fan-favorite theories in regards to Rey Kenobi, Rey Skywalker, and Rey “Nobody.” We discuss what we think of the title reveal for Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi… who is the last Jedi? Is it plural? Why isn’t it “The Last of the Jedi”? Our hosts get a little feisty and ranty, so strap in for a chatty discussion on theories. Skytalkers gets deep in regards to incorporating the prequels era more into the new canon. All this and more on the fourth episode of Skytalkers.

Charlotte mentions a YouTube video by a user named Vincent Vendetta. Thanks Vincent for your super convincing theory:

Skytalkers: Rebels 3.11 & Our Favorite Princess

Join us for our second official episode of Skytalkers to talk about the latest episode of Star Wars Rebels, the two part #3.11 “Ghosts of Geonosis.” Caitlin and Charlotte talk about what we loved about this Rogue One-connection-filled episode and what we are excited about for the future of the show. We’re talkin’ that rudimentary Death Star drawing, Click Clack, Saw, and that amazing sand line.

The latter half of the show takes the opportunity to talk about our favorite Princess, Carrie Fisher, and do our best to memorialize our memory of her. We discuss the recently aired HBO documentary “Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds” and share some of our favorite memories from Carrie’s life. The Force will be with Carrie, always.
